Senators Slash Ticket Prices

Ottawa, Ontario (CP) –

For the first time in over two years the Ottawa Senators have decided to slash ticket prices. The Senators have had some of the highest ticket prices since the Alex Snyder regime was at the helm. With has much buzz there has been around Sens this season, hasn’t equaled fans coming out to the Scotiabank Place. With an average attendance of 51%, which is horrendous to say the least.

Some of the old ticket prices included, For Level 1 tickets were going for a $120, Level 2 tickets were going for 90, Level 3 tickets were going for $75, Level 4 were going for $50, and luxury box tickets were a whopping $250.

We love the Senators, but there is no way I can afford to go out to the game, with the way the economy is today. It’s like they want you to make a choice to, to feed your family? Or go out to a game? Especially with a good product with the 67’s at a third or quarter of the price.”, mentioned one fan.

The team has took a cut with the Pittsburgh Penguin game taking the tickets down about twenty percent, and some people believe they could continue to go down. The total attendance was 13,980 which is up from their last home game which was only 9,455.

Our fans are the best in the OTHL, and without them there would be no hockey in Ottawa. We have been irresponsible to our fans and it’s time for us to bring them back out and enjoy an exciting product. We are in for a special season, and we want our fans to share in on the experience.”, said CFO Erin Crowe.

The olive branch has been extended to the fans in Ottawa, the question is will they show up?
